Baltimore SmartCEO’s `Future 50′ List

Chesapeake Plastics Manufacturing, Inc., a plastic injection molder in Lusby, MD, has been named one of the region’s fastest growing companies by Baltimore SmartCEO, a regional business publication. Winners of the first annual “Future 50” awards were chosen by employee and revenue growth over the last three years.

Since its founding in 2003, Chesapeake Plastics has shown steady growth, increasing from two to 11 employees and adding such well-known names to its client roster as Alliant Tech Systems, Beretta USA, Windermere, Dyna-Corp, Comtech Mobile Data, and NSWCIH Division.

“We turned what was a no win situation, my business partner and I out of a job, into or own Manufacturing Company ,” said Mark McGrath, co-owner of Chesapeake Plastics Manufacturing, Inc. “When we heard that our employer was planning to retire and we received no interest in our resumes Chesapeake Plastics made perfect sense.” Steven Moore Continued, “We went from business plan to production in 90 days”. Running three shift the two owners managed to triple there original revenue forecast from the business plan.
